Enhanced Services

Dedicated Full-Time Operator
With this option, an operator monitors one assigned conference for its entire duration.  With this premium level of service, the operator can conduct a roll call, facilitate a question and answer session, as well as poll the participants for the leader.

Lecture Mode Conference
This conference is most suitable for presentations and large groups.   Participants in the conference are placed into a "listen only" mode and only the leader can be heard.  There is no additional charge for this feature.

Name Record/Play
When enabled, Name Record/Play prompts each participant to record their name before they enter the conference.  Each time a participant enters the conference, the recorded name is played to the entire conference.  By pressing *8 during the conference the leader or participant can hear the names played back.  There is no additional charge for this feature.  A Reservationist must be contacted to enable this feature.

Music / Security
When enabled, this feature requires the leader passcode to be entered to initiate a conference.  By requiring a "leader" to be present, unauthorized access to the service is minimized.

Entry / Exit Tones
When enabled, audible tones play into the conference to notify participants that someone has entered or exited the conference.

Q&A
Leaders can answer participants' questions most efficiently by using the Q&A feature.  Q&A promotes electronic "hand raising".  Participants press "1" on their telephone keypad when they have a question and the Conference Group operator addresses each person individually.  During Q&A, all lines except the leaders are muted.  This feature requires a dedicated full-time operator.

Polling
A Polling session enables the leader to gather responses in an organized manner.  The Conference Group operator, or the leader, requests an opinion on a particular topic and lists the possible responses with corresponding numbers.  Participants respond/vote by pressing a key on their telephone keypad.  This feature requires a dedicated full-time operator.

Conference Recording
A conference can be recorded on analog tape, CD or digitally for storage and playback.
