Conferencing Tips
- Try to schedule your conference well in advance allowing participants time to plan.
- Send the participants any presentation materials in advance.
- Ask the participants to limit background noises and distractions.
- Mute speaker phones when not speaking.
- Do not place your conference call on hold, if your phone system has music on hold.
- Avoid sidebar conversations during the conference.
- Before speaking identify yourself.
- Address participants by name when asking a specific question.
- Summarize the conference discussions and agreements at the meeting's end.
